Trees! Sunset at Aspetuck Land Trust Inc.
Just after spending a few hours walking around among the mostly yellow trees with Ginger, Jack and Zeke—(my niece her boyfriend and their sweet little dog). More or less halfway between us, it was a great idea to meet there (thank you Ginger) and momentarily feel like it was almost a normal Autumn.
was the 13th year in an ongoing project, dedicated to the observation of the sun at every crossing of the horizon and to sharing the awareness of that moment with others (i.e. ring a bell). This year's invitation was for others to witness and share a sunrise or sunset each month. With the onset of covid19, came the mandate to shelter in place. Knowing that we would be at home each evening, we decided to ring a LOUD bell every sunset, marking the day's end to anyone within earshot.
