September 29, 2020. Sunset 7:31 PM. West Texas.
After a whirlwind 3-day drive from Providence, Julian and I arrived back at our place in the mountains of far west Texas Tuesday evening September 29. By chance we hit the dirt road 10 miles from home just as the sun was setting…bell-ringing attached! I am going to miss Providence…but it feels really good to be back at our snug little perch.

was the 13th year in an ongoing project, dedicated to the observation of the sun at every crossing of the horizon and to sharing the awareness of that moment with others (i.e. ring a bell). This year's invitation was for others to witness and share a sunrise or sunset each month. With the onset of covid19, came the mandate to shelter in place. Knowing that we would be at home each evening, we decided to ring a LOUD bell every sunset, marking the day's end to anyone within earshot.
