Almost full moon. Gusty winds. Curious neighbors. Lots of company this evening. Special thanks to Luciano Chessa taking over for Norman on the big bell this evening. Welcome back Bernie, Mardi, Elisabeth and Richard. (The bird came later...)
Day 104 Sheltering in place from one end of the street to the other.-- BH
was the 13th year in an ongoing project, dedicated to the observation of the sun at every crossing of the horizon and to sharing the awareness of that moment with others (i.e. ring a bell). This year's invitation was for others to witness and share a sunrise or sunset each month. With the onset of covid19, came the mandate to shelter in place. Knowing that we would be at home each evening, we decided to ring a LOUD bell every sunset, marking the day's end to anyone within earshot.
