was the 13th year in an ongoing project, dedicated to the observation of the sun at every crossing of the horizon and to sharing the awareness of that moment with others (i.e. ring a bell). This year's invitation was for others to witness and share a sunrise or sunset each month. With the onset of covid19, came the mandate to shelter in place. Knowing that we would be at home each evening, we decided to ring a LOUD bell every sunset, marking the day's end to anyone within earshot.

Day 98 snap shots
June 27, 2020. Sunset 8:35 (again).
San Francisco, CA.
The bird was waiting in the tree when I brought the bell outside and stayed the whole time. I think she likes the bell. Our next-door neighbor and her young son hung out their window with some little bells. Sounds like a party a few doors down.
