dailybell 2020 + + +

was the 13th year in an ongoing project, dedicated to the observation of the sun at every crossing of the horizon and to sharing the awareness of that moment with others (i.e. ring a bell). This year's invitation was for others to witness and share a sunrise or sunset each month. With the onset of covid19, came the mandate to shelter in place. Knowing that we would be at home each evening, we decided to ring a LOUD bell every sunset, marking the day's end to anyone within earshot.

Day 101 Moving out

June 30, 2020. Sunset 8:35 PM (again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again).
San Francisco, CA.

Our next-door neighbors change rather often. (FYI -- This has been going on for much longer than we have been ringing the big loud bell outside their front window). Today was moving out day.
I wonder if they will miss the bell…
