Our neighbor stepped outside to welcome the warm light at the end of an otherwise a grey day while Norman took a turn at the bell this evening. He works as a recruiter for a company that is likely not going to be recruiting much longer.
Day 15- Ringing the big bell out on the sidewalk for as long as we are sheltering in place.
was the 13th year in an ongoing project, dedicated to the observation of the sun at every crossing of the horizon and to sharing the awareness of that moment with others (i.e. ring a bell). This year's invitation was for others to witness and share a sunrise or sunset each month. With the onset of covid19, came the mandate to shelter in place. Knowing that we would be at home each evening, we decided to ring a LOUD bell every sunset, marking the day's end to anyone within earshot.
