was the 13th year in an ongoing project, dedicated to the observation of the sun at every crossing of the horizon and to sharing the awareness of that moment with others (i.e. ring a bell). This year's invitation was for others to witness and share a sunrise or sunset each month. With the onset of covid19, came the mandate to shelter in place. Knowing that we would be at home each evening, we decided to ring a LOUD bell every sunset, marking the day's end to anyone within earshot.

Sheltering in the bushes
April 16, 2020. Sunset 7:46 PM.
San Francisco, CA.
Sheltering from the wind. The best spot I've found for recording is crammed between two bushes in front of someone's house. Listen.
I'm a lurker - hoping nobody walking by will notice me standing there. The skate boarder was an extra treat this evening.
Day 26 - Ringing the big bell out on the sidewalk for as long as we are sheltering in place.
