was the 13th year in an ongoing project, dedicated to the observation of the sun at every crossing of the horizon and to sharing the awareness of that moment with others (i.e. ring a bell). This year's invitation was for others to witness and share a sunrise or sunset each month. With the onset of covid19, came the mandate to shelter in place. Knowing that we would be at home each evening, we decided to ring a LOUD bell every sunset, marking the day's end to anyone within earshot.

COVID19 arrives in paradise

I’m vacationing in HI and was planning to take this tour today (Haleakala Sunrise Tour). Unfortunately, the tour is canceled until further notice as a precaution against spreading COVID-19. You are in my thoughts.
