was the 13th year in an ongoing project, dedicated to the observation of the sun at every crossing of the horizon and to sharing the awareness of that moment with others (i.e. ring a bell). This year's invitation was for others to witness and share a sunrise or sunset each month. With the onset of covid19, came the mandate to shelter in place. Knowing that we would be at home each evening, we decided to ring a LOUD bell every sunset, marking the day's end to anyone within earshot.

“There is that common connection. No matter where you are in the world. No matter what you believe. The sun is always there and how you connect into it is quite powerful”

The description of your practice so eloquently speaks to the heart of the dailybell and the connections I also believe are possible through our daily awareness of the sun. Your joy in this relationship to the sun and to others is inspiring. Thank you so much for sharing your experience.
