was the 13th year in an ongoing project, dedicated to the observation of the sun at every crossing of the horizon and to sharing the awareness of that moment with others (i.e. ring a bell). This year's invitation was for others to witness and share a sunrise or sunset each month. With the onset of covid19, came the mandate to shelter in place. Knowing that we would be at home each evening, we decided to ring a LOUD bell every sunset, marking the day's end to anyone within earshot.

Happy Birthday to your mother dear Alyce <3
ReplyDeleteTall mountain! 2 hours for the sun to clear it-- amazing. I bet someone could calculate how tall the mountain is by how long it took the sun to rise above it. I know the earth rotates about 750 miles per hour at San Francisco latitude.
